This boutique apartment was designed within the walls of a historic townhouse, where the greatest challenge became the project’s defining feature.

The Light…
With only one original source of natural daylight, the space required a thoughtful balance between openness and privacy. Rather than forcing the interior into something it was not, the design embraced the existing architecture and allowed light to travel through the apartment, shaping each area in its own way.
Glass partitions, carefully positioned openings and a restrained material palette create a sense of flow between the living area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, allowing the interior to feel larger than its footprint.
The result is a space designed not only for living, but for slowing down.
A place where history remains present, yet contemporary comfort feels effortless.
Light becomes part of the architecture.

Rather than competing for attention, the details work together to create a sense of ease, a place where light, texture and carefully curated objects encourage a slower rhythm of living.
From the fireplace-inspired focal point to the collected decorative pieces, the apartment was designed to feel less like accommodation and more like a temporary home.

Glass partitions were introduced not to divide the space, but to allow daylight to travel freely through the apartment, bringing depth, openness and a sense of calm to every corner. In a home shaped by a single window, transparency became a design language of its own.
The smallest objects often carry the strongest sense of place.
Collected forms, sculptural details and carefully chosen textures introduce layers of personality and memory, transforming the apartment from a functional space into a lived experience.
Like souvenirs from different journeys, these pieces quietly tell stories without demanding attention.
