Inspired by the power of whirlpools and the emotional landscapes they evoke, The Abyss explores transformation, resilience and the hidden forces that shape us.

Each work reflects movement beneath stillness, the pull of memory, the beauty of imperfection and the journey through darkness toward light.

Yet within every vortex lies movement.

Created through layered textures and intuitive gestures, these paintings emerge from a fascination with what lies beneath the visible surface: the emotions we carry, the fractures we repair and the silent processes of becoming.

Within every fracture, the possibility of healing.

WHIRLPOOLS…

They destroy and create.
They pull inward and release.
They remind us that surrender is not the opposite of strength.

Perhaps this is why I return to them again and again.

Not as symbols of drowning, but as symbols of transformation.

The Abyss is not a place.

It is a moment.

The moment when we stop resisting the current and discover that beneath fear, beneath uncertainty, beneath everything we believed would break us, there is still life.

Still movement. Still becoming.

It is the place where the journey inward begins…
