This boutique hotel was never designed to impress through excess. It was created to evoke a feeling, one of calm, warmth, and quiet luxury inspired by nature.
The colour palette began with the landscape rather than trends.
Soft stone greys. Warm sand. Off-whites. Deep graphite. Weathered oak. Touches of black steel. Muted greens inspired by palm leaves moving gently beyond the windows.
Together they create a space that feels timeless rather than fashionable, like a place you’ve somehow known before, even on your very first.
Every material was chosen for its texture before its colour.
Natural marble reflects the changing daylight.
Raw oak softens contemporary lines.
Black steel introduces contrast without heaviness.
A restored vintage Singer cast-iron sewing machine base becomes more than a functional element, it carries history into a modern interior. It tells a story.
Decorative mouldings meet minimalist Scandinavian cabinetry, proving that thoughtful composition matters far more than expensive materials.
Lighting became another architectural material. Layered LED lighting gently reveals the architecture after sunset. Pendant lights create intimacy above the dining table, while concealed illumination allows textures to speak quietly instead of competing for attention.
Nothing dominates. Everything belongs. That is what I love most about interior design. Creating spaces where people may never consciously notice every design decision, yet always remember how the space made them feel.
Because beautiful interiors are rarely about adding more.
They are about knowing what to leave out.
